Stan co-founded Brightfield Transportation Solutions in 2009 and is a pioneer in the electric vehicle infrastructure space having helped lead the design and installation of the nation’s first public solar-integrated EV charging stations. Stan is a nationally recognized sustainability professional having spent 20 years as an entrepreneur in the non-profit sector developing and leading nationally renowned sustainability and climate action programs, raising funds from investors and major donors, and engaging in high-level strategic planning. Prior to starting Brightfield, he served as Executive Director of Warren Wilson College’s Environmental Leadership Center.
Stan has undergraduate and master’s degrees in business, psychology, and sustainability from Skidmore College and UNC Asheville. He is a graduate of the Small Business Administration’s ScaleUp program and is currently participating in Elevate, both of which provide training and mentoring for CEOs transitioning companies from start-up to high-growth. Stan serves on the steering committee of Plug-in North Carolina and the US Department of Energy’s Clean Vehicle Coalition.
