Jeff Privette is Deputy Director of the Center for Weather and Climate (CWC), part of NOAA’s National Centers for Environmental Information (NCEI) in Asheville, North Carolina. As CWC’s programmatic manager, he oversees a portfolio of more than 200 environmental products and services derived from land, atmosphere and space observatories.
These resources support more than 1 million users per month across the federal, state and local governments, commercial and public sectors. He also serves as NOAA’s representative in several national and international organizations. He received his PhD in Aerospace Engineering Sciences from the University of Colorado.
