MARCH 22, 6-8PM: RECEPTION FOR NEW ART EXHIBITION, 'STORMS,' AT THE ADLER GALLERY IN POSANA RESTAURANT.
The public is invited to the opening reception for a themed exhibit, STORMS, featuring the work of 25 artists curated by Constance Vlahoulis. Adler Gallery is located behind the main dining room of Posana, at 1 Biltmore Avenue in the heart of downtown Asheville. The event is 6-8pm on Thursday March 22.
The 25 invited artists were asked to incorporate the theme of "storms" in any way they wished. Reception attendees will have the chance to meet the artists who include a host of Asheville’s best and most beloved painters. Styles range from representational, to atmospheric impression, abstract and whimsical. All works are available for purchase.
Three of the participants are 3D artists, including Pamela Wright, a meteorologist for WYFF in Greenville, SC, who is also an Asheville jewelry designer. Her WeatherVain Storm Jewelry will be available at the opening.
The STORMS exhibition will be up through spring. The exhibition follows another that took place last summer, CLOUDS, held in partnership with The Collider.
